Our stay at the Watertower Villa was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Dag, the host, who made us feel like old friends. The spaciousness and architectural features of the 19th Century Water Tower were impressive. The views from the top floor were absolutely breathtaking. We loved the well-equipped kitchen and the generously stocked fridge. The beds were comfy and warm, and we enjoyed listening to music in the living and dining area. The secure and enclosed property was perfect for our dog, who was warmly welcomed. our stay was made even more special by Dag, who created a magical atmosphere in Montrose.
While there were a few stairs to climb, it wasn't an issue for us. Additionally, the heavy glass door to the rooftop required some effort to close, but it wasn't a major inconvenience.

The view from the rooftop was incredible, offering stunning panoramic views of the city. the host was very attentive and provided a great selection of food and drinks for breakfast, including sausages, eggs, bacon, and mushrooms. the location was convenient, with shops and the town center within easy reach.
The stairs in the property were quite steep and it was a bit of a workout to climb them. the noise from seagulls outside was quite loud, which made it difficult to sleep peacefully.

The accommodation is truly unique and quirky, with an octagonal living space and a historic charm. the host is extremely attentive and friendly, offering a warm welcome and providing a fully stocked fridge and bar. the location is ideal for exploring nearby attractions such as Johnshaven, St Cyrus, and Arbroath. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views from the rooftop and take advantage of amenities like the antique copper bath, luggage elevator, and vinyl player.
Some guests may find the lack of curtains on the skylights in the bedrooms and the presence of noisy seagulls to be a minor inconvenience.

I highly recommend this quirky and unique property.
The seagulls, which could be noisy. The bedrooms on the top floor had uncurtained skylights, so it's best to bring earplugs and a sleep mask.
